420 Events in Massachusetts

Looking for some fun ways to celebrate 420 this year? We of course have some great stuff going on at the store. For more on that, check out a detailed list of everything we have going on.

We put out a quick event guide for goings on in the area. Check out some of the events we’re looking forward to below.

Please note that public consumption of cannabis is illegal in Massachusetts. In particular, properties managed by DCR are strict about consumption. These events are either private events that are 420 friendly, or generally interesting to cannabis consumers. Please consume responsibly and use proper discretion.

The Grass Is Greener Gathering

The Grass Is Greener music fest takes place in Hadley, MA on Friday and Saturday April 21-22, 2023. Headlined by Action Bronson and Wyclef Jean, single day tickets are $73 and two day tickets are $130. They have 3 stages of music, food trucks, and carnival games. This is put on by the organizers of the Carniroll.

Cannabis Wellness Sesh

This takes place right down the street at Home and Heart Studio on April 22 from 1-5 PM. This will be an exciting yet relaxing afternoon celebrating the joy of cannabis. The event will include vendors and workshops including a yoga session (Home and Heart regularly hosts Lifted Yoga on Sunday’s if you haven’t checked it out. We recommend it!) Reggae in Brattleboro

For our Brattleboro friends, catch some reggae from Tuff Riddim at a 420 Celebration at the Stone Church in Brattleboro, VT. The event runs from 6-9 PM and admission is free.

Toasted Jam 5

Another music festival, this one taking place on Sunday April 23 at the Franklin County Fairgrounds in Greenfield, MA.  Headliners include Juelz Santana and Twista. The event will also include food trucks, beer trucks, and a High Olympics. Tickets are $20. Check their site for more info.

Whose Live Anyway?

If you’re looking for a laugh and some improv, check out Whose Live Anyway? at the Colonial Theater in Keene, NH on Saturday April 22, 2023. Tickets start at $49. Event listing and tickets.

Catch a Movie in Athol

Sometimes the best way to celebrate 420 is just to kick back and watch a movie. Athol Cinemas 8 has a bunch of options on Thursday including Super Mario Brothers for any Nintendo fanatics as well as John Wick and Dungeons and Dragons.

Walk in the Woods

Presented by our friends at Honest Weight Artisan Beer, this is a series of guided hikes in the Quabbin on the 4th Sunday of every month. The next event is Sunday April 23 and the hike is one you won’t want to miss. Check out a couple highlights from their last hike and some additional info to preview this coming one. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased from on their website. The ticket includes an energy bar and Honest Weight gift card. Please note that the hike takes place on DCR property and alcohol and cannabis consumption are prohibited.

Max McFarland: Soulful Acoustic

Another event from Honest Weight Artisan Beer, this is one takes place at the brewery on Friday April 21 from 6-8 PM. Live music in the tasting room plus a food truck outside from Sun Kim Bop.

420 Stash and Dash

The CannaKitchen Community is running their annual Stash and Dash. There will be giveaways all day, every hour. They will be dropping in Fitchburg, Leominster, Gardner, Winchendon, and Athol. Keep an eye on their Facebook page for drop location clues.
